I’m Cathrin, owner and the creative behind Social Magpie Design.
If this is the first time our paths have crossed hello and welcome. I’m a British designer who lives in the English countryside but I work with clients all over the world.
For as long as I can remember I have been interested in how design fits together and how colours and fonts can instantly transform they way we feel and interact with things. I’m a firm believer in the power of design, through the stories it tells and the connections it creates.

My approach to design is personal and considered, resulting in designs that are uniquely individual to each business I work with. I like to get right to the heart of a business and find ways to weave that into the design in a way that feel effortless and natural. Timeless, approachable design is what I strive to achieve with each project.
A combination of marketing and publishing experience and design practice has shaped my approach to working with brands, helping to bring them to life and achieve transformative results for their businesses. This unique skillset helps me consider these projects from a ‘whole picture’ perspective, not just around the design but ongoing marketing, positioning and future growth.
Working collaboratively with my clients to create their brand visions is very important to me. At the end of the day I want happy clients who love their results, and achieving this is a big part of what drives me.
